Jonathan Smith L.C.M.T.
I began my education at Monterey Peninsula College in 2006 and obtained my Certified Massage Therapist (CMT) Certificate through the Therapists Certification Program in 2008 with extensive studies in many aspects of massage. I have completed a total of 724 hours of education on my certificate.
Now specializing in neuromuscular massage therapy and deep relaxation.
Helping people is my passion and I have found that the best way I can help people in my community is by offering neuromuscular massage therapy to people in pain or those that are experiencing loss of quality of life due to restriction in mobility. I have many success stories with helping clients be restored from injuries and chronic pain.
When a client enters my office I immediately will start my functional assessment this can include range of motion testing, measurements of asymmetry and specific questions of symptoms of pain. Try to think of when, where, and how your pain shows up and share that information with me this can be very useful to my treatment. I will begin treatment thereafter and once I'm finished I will reassess your body once again to ensure we are getting results. I strive to achieve measurable results that show my clients they are improving here and now not tomorrow or next week.
Born and raised in Monterey county i truly enjoy serving the people of this community. I enjoy spending time at the beach fishing, wood working, painting, making jewelry from Big Sur Jade, distilling aromatic essential oils, kayaking, and surfing
